kunst/werk’s bijdrage aan SUPERSTUDIO @ Duinstraat in mei 2020!

Onder de noemer SUPERSTUDIO wil ze een aantal monumentale en volumineuze werken tonen van verwante beeldende kunstenaars zoals Peter Rogiers, Tom Volkaert, Nadia Naveau, Octave Vandeweghe, Leyla Aydoslu en ook eigen werk.

Daarnaast nodigt ze Marc Vanrunxt uit voor een sculpturale performance, op zondag 17 mei.

Bahar Temiz zal een fragment uit de solo White on White (2018) dansen, in een mega-outfit van Jean-Paul Lespagnard.

Deze samenwerking tussen Marc en Bahar is herdoopt voor de gelegenheid tot I am no longer an artist, I have become a work of art.

Op die manier willen Vanrunxt en Temiz een brug slaan tussen bevroren beelden en vloeiende bewegingen.

Bahar Temiz danst Marc Vanrunxt, live op zondag 17 mei tussen 15 en 17 uur.

On the occasion of Antwerp Art Weekend – from 14 to 17 May 2020 – visual artist Katleen Vinck invites several colleagues to participate with one monumental sculpture each in a group show.

In SUPERSTUDIO – a wink to the Italian architects from the 1960’s and to her own mega atelier at Duinstraat 124 – the following artists will be present: Nadia Naveau, Tom Volkaert, Peter Rogiers, Octave Vandeweghe, Marius Ritiu, Leyla Aydoslu and Katleen Vinck.

Choreographers Marc Vanrunxt and Bahar Temiz will perform a ‘sculpturale performance’ on Sunday the 17th between 3 and 5pm.

There is no joint statement, but references between works and artists. At the surface – or even more subcutaneously – they are connected by the immediate, the cosmos, the univers and the relationship between past, present and future.
