In this overview, we follow his route, at the interface between fashion, architecture, painting, philosophy, music, sculpture, literature and (dance) history.
The book also wants to be a tribute to the many artists Marc has worked with: Anne-Mie Van Kerckhoven, Katleen Vinck, Robert Cash, Jan Martens, Igor Shyshko, Bahar Temiz, Kasia Tórz, Salva Sanchis, Eric Raeves, Koenraad Dedobbeleer, Raymond Mallentjer and many other dancers and choreographers, photographers, visual artists.
Graphic designer Paul Verrept weaved the material into a visual essay. He made grateful use of Vanrunxt’s archive, his own memories of performances and many conversations. The book opens with a letter he wrote to Marc Vanrunxt.
